![]() Not sure if this is the only software, just one that I've found on my searches relating to Rover diagnostics. Is it as simple as getting the software, installing onto a laptop and then getting a cable to go from the Laptop to the diagnostic plug? My initial findings show that this might be a cheaper route than buying a handheld unit, as this way I've already the expensive of the computer aspect as it were. So I've the Rover diagnostic port under the dash ready and waiting. I'm thinking of moving to Oz in a few years and hopefully taking the car, so cost dependant, I thought it might be something useful to have for now and the future, not sure how much of Rover cars got over to Oz. Saturday 29th December 2012I've a 1999 Rover 1.8 VVC'ed engined car and I'm interested to know what home diagnostic software you can get to read it's error, fault codes, what the ECU see's.
